We're looking for someone who's a fantastic blend of technical wizard and trusted advisor. You won't just be building cool stuff; you'll be partnering closely with our internal teams, helping them turn their ideas into solid, cloud-native architectures. Plus, you'll be coaching them to become self-sufficient in the cloud!

What You’ll Do:

• Be a go-to technical consultant, helping teams get a handle on platform standards and design choices, and guiding them as they build Azure-native solutions.
• Jump in and co-create reference architectures and landing zones that speed up safe cloud adoption. We'll figure out the best mix of hands-on help, teamwork, and peer reviews, all while keeping the Microsoft Well-Architected Framework pillars in mind.
• Take some of the load off by building and maintaining APG AM-specific Azure Verified Modules (AVM). This will give application teams a secure, scalable self-service library of standard patterns to use.
• Boost internal knowledge through trainings, coaching sessions, community events, and hackathons.
• Lend a hand with occasional incident support (2nd line) during regular business hours.

• Location: Amsterdam
• Please note: This role is not suitable for freelancers (ZZP).
• You'll be expected to be fully in the office during the onboarding period. After that, you'll need to be in the Amsterdam office at least once a week, with Wednesday being the fixed office day.
• This is a role for 32 to 40 hours per week and falls into scale 10.
• There's an option for extension.
• The first CV selection will take place on Wednesday, June 10th.

Functie Eisen

Who You Are:

• A true hybrid: both an engineer and a consultant! You're comfortable writing code and infrastructure as code, but you also shine when guiding, coaching, and constructively challenging teams. Right now, the focus is a bit more on the consultancy side.
• You thrive in a small team environment and can totally work independently.
• You've got 5+ years in software/cloud engineering, with at least 2 of those focused on Azure.
• You're skilled in Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, PowerShell, CLI, or Bash.
• You have experience with enterprise-level governance models (think guard-railed subscriptions).
• You feel confident navigating security, compliance, and operational best practices in Azure.
• You have programming experience in Python and are familiar with APIs and microservices.

Bonus Points:

• Experience in financial services, particularly asset or wealth management.
• Contributions to the community (like on GitHub, open source projects, blogs, or speaking at events).

Certifications (We value experience over certificates, but these are great!):

• Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate

Working conditions: This job role offers a balanced split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a distribution of 75% operational and 25% project-related tasks. To minimize the impact on business operations, some changes may be scheduled outside of regular business hours.
