As Control Room Analyst within the Control Room EU you will be responsible for the 24/7 monitoring of our client's business critical service chains. From different perspectives the CR EU monitors our client's complete digital landscape. From the customer perspective we keep track on user experience, ‘What does the actual our client's customer experience?’ From a business perspective ensuring a high level of service to meet customer and regulatory expectations. Last but not least, we also 24/7, monitor the digital chains of infrastructure and applications within the our client's ICT landscape, in order to guarantee the overall continuity and security. Detecting discrepancies in the online traffic through a suite of specialised tooling, along with information from external sources for example social media channels. Analysing discrepancies and enriching incidents with insights and correlated data in order to help the solution teams in reducing the mean time to repair. Executing basic tasks on mainframe platforms such as HP Nonstop, IBM z/OS, access to datacentres. Primary point of contact in case of calamities and in a lead role in the incident management and change process.

Our department
ITCSS designs and delivers 24x7 Monitoring Services, Continuity Management, IT Service Management and Automation, Service Desk and Security Operations in order to contribute to continuity and security of the whole IT organisation.

The CR EU is a department within ITCSS Monitoring Services and is responsible for the following;
• 24/7 monitoring of
our client's business critical services delivered globally or within the EU region only
• Within this scope monitoring of the digital IT landscape, detecting any kind of anomalies (events)
• Analysing these events and judging whether to promote anomalies to incident
• Delivering a first line analysis of reported incidents
• Timely dispatching of incidents to the responsible solution group
• Maintaining a lead role in ensuring progression in incident resolution by the different solution groups
• First response in case of security threats such as DDOS-attacks
• Leading role during the change implementation process to prevent collisions by overlapping change initiatives
• Entry point for escalation process to maintain business continuity
• Handling different types of 1st line control or remediation activities for the different solution groups, like batch scheduling, datacentre access, etc. all conform agreed processes and instructions on platforms like HP NonStop, IBM z/OS, etc.
• Liaise with User Groups, other service departments and third parties in managing upgrades to the Bank’s principal systems, and in the resolution of problems.
• Out of hours coverage of services from the Cross Channel Service Desk
• Assist in the training of junior staff
• Complete any assigned project work or tasks in a timely manner
• Running all of the above daily operations under limited supervision

CR EU has an operational, technical and international scope and consists out of approximately 27 skilled professionals working 24/7 in a shift based rota (3x8, 7 days a week).

Functie eisen

• HBO IT thinking and working level
• At least 2 yrs working experience within IT, experience in working within shifts is a plus
• Knowledge of service delivery conforming to ITIL methodology
• Working experience within a continuous improving ‘Lean’ operational IT environment
• Knowledge of various monitoring platforms and applications, like IBM Z/OS, HP Non-Stop, HP Service Manager, HP OMI, HP BSM, Dynatrace, Coosto, Splunk, Zabbix, Sitescope, ITWS, Dollar Universe is a plus

An on the job training (+/- 3 months) is provided, for such applications and skills as Zabbix, Splunk, IBM z/OS, HP Nonstop, HP BSM, HP Service Manager, HP OMI as well as communication oriented training.
