As a Container Platform DevOps Engineer in the area of Engineering Platforms, part of the Tribe Tech4Engineering, you will participate in shaping the future of our Container Platform. You will be part of a new team that builds a Container Platform on top of AWS (EKS).

Your Role

You will work in a challenging international environment, with the mission to enable the bank to provide relevant financial services to our clients, so that we can ‘Grow a Better World Together’. You are part of a multidisciplinary squad that realizes the digital ambitions for Rabobank within the Tech4Engineering domain while closely collaborating with business and IT stakeholders.

As part of a DevOps team, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting the best Container platform environment. This includes performing version upgrades, undertaking fault prevention and resolution, implementing roadmaps, and providing specialist product advice. IT never stands still; with new technologies and integrations being introduced, innovation and research will be part of your role. As a DevOps Engineer, you will make an impact on the way our customers perceive the services we deliver at Rabobank, making it possible to provide a 9+ experience for our customers.

About Tech4Engineering

Tech4Engineering's mission is to minimize the cognitive load of our engineers throughout the bank. You will contribute by implementing and operationalizing the container platform on AWS/EKS, establishing it as the standard for all containerized applications in EKS.

The Tribe Tech4Engineering, part of Engineering & Enterprise Tech, consists of approximately 500 FTE.

This role requires a strong focus on self-service, enabling our consuming DevOps teams to operate with full autonomy. This can be complex, especially in times of reorganization and pressure to get the environment operational. The impact of this change affects processes, team structure, and how employees within the tribe perform their work.

• DevOps Practices: You have an in-depth understanding of Git, CI/CD pipelines, ArgoCD, and various DevOps practices.
• Scripting Skills: You have scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Certifications: While certifications in AWS or Kubernetes are preferred, they are not required.

Working conditions: This job role offers a balanced split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a distribution of 75% operational and 25% project-related tasks. To minimize the impact on business operations, some changes may be scheduled outside of regular business hours.
