Container Platform DevOps Engineer at Rabobank Utrecht

We are on the lookout for a Container Platform DevOps Engineer to join our Engineering Platforms team, part of the Tribe Tech4Engineering. In this role, you'll help shape the future of our Container Platform, building a new platform on top of AWS (EKS).

You and Your Job

You'll be working in a challenging international environment, all with the mission to enable the bank to provide relevant financial services to our clients. Together, we strive to 'Grow a Better World Together'. As part of a multidisciplinary squad, you'll realize digital ambitions for Rabobank within the Tech4Engineering domain, collaborating closely with both business and IT stakeholders.

As part of a DevOps team, you will:

• Develop, maintain, and support the best container platform environment
• Perform version upgrades and undertake fault prevention and resolution
• Implement the roadmap and provide specialist product advice

Tech4Engineering

At Tech4Engineering, our mission is to minimize the cognitive load of our engineers throughout the bank. Your role is crucial in implementing and operationalizing the container platform on AWS/EKS, establishing it as the standard for all containerized applications in EKS.

The Tribe Tech4Engineering—part of Engineering & Enterprise Tech—consists of approximately 500 FTEs.

It's essential to have a strong focus on self-service, enabling our consuming DevOps teams to operate with full autonomy. This is complex, especially in times of reorganization and pressure to operationalize the environment. The impact of these changes affects processes, team structures, and the way our tribe performs work.

Working conditions: This job role offers a balanced split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a distribution of 75% operational and 25% project-related tasks. To minimize the impact on business operations, some changes may be scheduled outside of regular business hours.
