For our client in the surroundings of Amsterdam, we are looking for a PL/SQL Developer (SQL*Plus, TOAD, Shell Scripting, Linux).
About the Role
We are in search of an eager and tech-savvy Oracle technical lead who cares deeply about quality. In this role, you will understand the software landscape, ask relevant questions, and collaborate to deliver value as a team.

- Work in a team of Oracle PL/SQL and Java developers.

Your Role and Team
As a technical lead, you will guide a development team in making technical decisions, ensuring successful project implementations, and bridging the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are expected to have a clear vision for the future, driving innovation and improvements to renew and enhance our systems. A deep understanding of, and the ability to improve, the architecture of the system is essential for ensuring scalability and efficiency.
Collaborating with your team, you will engage in inspiring projects to expedite our transformation into a modern company. You'll make an impact by delivering software that enhances our efficiency and, most importantly, sustainability in customer deliveries. The team operates fully in a DevOps manner (including standby shifts) and is responsible for the backend software. In this project, you'll coordinate with external partners to develop high-quality products.
Experience with migrating from Oracle to service-oriented architectures is a significant advantage, as it aligns with our strategic goals. Additionally, you will work closely with other teams on large and complex projects, ensuring seamless integration and collaboration across the organization.

Requirements
What We Ask
- Education: Possess a work and thinking level equivalent to at least a bachelor's degree.
- Experience: At least 10 years of relevant work experience with PL/SQL in large databases.
- Tool Proficiency: Proficient in tools such as SQL*Plus, TOAD, and/or SQL Developer.
- Mentorship: Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide team members, effectively managing team dynamics.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, focusing on improving system architecture for scalability and efficiency.
- Methodologies: Understanding of agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and project management.
- Scripting: Proficient in SHELL scripting and Linux.
- Version Control: Knowledge of Git/GitHub for version control.
- Additional Experience: Experience with OutSystems is an advantage.
- Programming: Java/Kotlin experience is an advantage.
- Messaging: Experience with Kafka is a plus.
- Oracle Forms: Familiarity with Oracle Forms (11g) is a plus.
- DevOps Role: Ability to work in DevOps teams, responsible for 24/7 operations, including participation in a standby schedule.
- Team Spirit: Team player with a proactive approach.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
- Migration Experience: Experience with migrating from Oracle to service-oriented architectures is a significant advantage.
- Collaboration: Ability to collaborate with other teams on large and complex projects, ensuring seamless integration and collaboration across the organization.
