Network DevOps Engineer Opportunity in Amsterdam

For our client in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Network DevOps Engineer with expertise in Azure or GCP, Python/Bash, and Terraform.

What Are the Challenges for a Network DevOps Engineer?

Your role will involve designing and building the next-generation software-defined network infrastructure for both Public Cloud and on-premises environments. You'll be part of a global team that delivers foundational cloud services to all entities, enabling secure and efficient consumption of cloud services leveraging major cloud providers.

To support the expansion of an ongoing project, we are seeking a Senior Network DevOps Engineer (m/f/x) to help architect and implement a new global network structure aligned with hybrid cloud strategies. You'll be part of an international and cross-functional team working across multiple time zones, with the flexibility to work remotely.

Position Details

Network DevOps Engineer (Azure or GCP, Python/Bash, Terraform)

• Start Date: 5-1-2026
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Duration: 12 months+
• Location: Amsterdam

Your "Backpack" Should Contain:

• 4+ years experience as a DevOps Engineer
• Familiarity with at least Azure and/or GCP: networking, routing, interconnects, VPN, and firewalling
• Experience with technologies like: Containers & Azure functions
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code: tools like Terraform, CI/CD, etc.
• Scripting experience with: Python, Bash
• Able to design and build a working solution in code
• Able to present to stakeholders
• Experience working in an enterprise environment
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
• Strong Team Player and experience in working with teams across countries

Your Education and Background:

• At least a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Technology
• Experience working in high-performing Agile IT teams
• Certifications and/or proven proficiency in one or more technologies requested
• Good understanding of English

Working Conditions

This job role is split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a 75%/25% distribution. Some changes are planned outside business hours to minimize impact on the business. This job vacancy is for the location Utrecht (NL).
