Job Vacancy: Sr. Network Expert

KPN // IF Solutions is looking for a Senior Network Expert who can design and manage complex network architectures within our VMware-based cloud platform.

What will you do? Design, build, and optimize multi-tenant network solutions based on DELL and VMware NSX. Design and integrate network solutions with automation, monitoring, and security. Advise on architecture and contribute to the roadmap. Develop and implement security best practices. Ensure and monitor high availability and platform scalability. Document the processes, and where possible automate the processes and the evidence required for strict compliance. Actively collaborate in the Operations team and share knowledge with colleagues. On-call duty every 7 weeks.

What do you bring?

In-depth knowledge of network protocols and architectures: BGP, EVPN, VXLAN, DHCP, DNS.

At least five years of experience as a senior network administrator or engineer in complex IT environments.

Minimum CCNP level complemented by a specialty such as Security or Datacenter.

Experience with VMware technology, particularly NSX.

Skills in scripting/automation: Python, Ansible.

Strong problem-solving skills and analytical insight.

Good communication skills and the ability to transfer knowledge (Dutch/English).

Additionally, you are proactive, initiative-taking, persistent, and solution-oriented.

Working conditions: This job role offers a balanced split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a distribution of 75% operational and 25% project-related tasks. To minimize the impact on business operations, some changes may be scheduled outside of regular business hours.
