Hey there! Triodos is on the lookout for a talented Medior/Senior Android Developer to join their team for an initial year, with the exciting possibility of an extension.

Your main gig will be diving into the communication features of their app, making sure it stays super stable, secure, and performs like a dream. You'll be teaming up with a fantastic bunch of folks – other Android and iOS developers, back-end wizards, UX designers, a Change Analyst, the Product Manager, and other key stakeholders.

But that's not all! You'll also be:

• Actively jumping into story refinements, bringing your brilliant ideas to the table.
• Crafting all the necessary unit and UI tests to keep things tip-top.
• Tackling and solving any production incidents that pop up in the app.
• Collaborating with a broad network of stakeholders, ensuring your work perfectly aligns with theirs, all built on a foundation of mutual respect.

The Vibe:

You'll be joining the Omnichannel Value Stream, which is buzzing with activity! It's made up of two native app development teams (Android and iOS), a back-end team, and a team dedicated to the website and email. Each app team is a cozy unit of 2-3 Android devs, 2-3 iOS devs, a tester, a change analyst, and a product manager. You'll be working hand-in-hand on app features, syncing up closely with the iOS developers and other teams. Sharing knowledge is a huge part of their team culture, which is pretty awesome.

Right now, they're deep into some major projects aimed at making their mobile app even better. Their big dream? To create an app that not only lets customers breeze through their daily banking but also gives them cool insights into the impact of their spending. You’ll be collaborating closely within your own Empowered Product Team and also with other teams in their Value Stream and across different domains. These teams have the autonomy to achieve outcomes from understanding needs all the way to tracking the impact of their creations.

To deliver top-notch software at a rapid pace, they really value clean code, a solid architecture, and design that's built for testing. They're rocking MVVM, Kotlin, and Compose, and their CI/CD pipeline is powered by TeamCity. Testing is a breeze with Compose UI tests, Paparazzi, and Espresso. Plus, they use contract-based API generation for both iOS and Android.

• You've got at least 3 years of solid experience building Android apps.
• You're pretty comfortable with our tech stack (we'll share the deets below!).
• You're a naturally driven developer who genuinely loves creating top-notch software.
• You're proactive and have a knack for working hand-in-hand with the business side, really getting what they need and turning those needs into smart tech solutions.
• You enjoy crafting beautiful user interfaces and thinking about the end-user's journey, but you also know how crucial it is to keep the underlying structure solid.
• You stay in the loop with all the latest happenings in Compose and the wider Android world.
• You've got a sharp, practical mind and believe in keeping things wonderfully simple.
• You're a go-getter who knows when to trust your gut and make a call, and when to tap a colleague or architect for their insights.
• You're a great communicator – you can make things happen and bring your teammates along for the ride.
• You can express yourself clearly in English, both when you chat and when you write.
• Having experience with Java/Jakarta EE would be a super nice-to-have!
• We also really value experience in back-end development and working seamlessly across front-end and back-end areas.

• You've tinkered with Gradle, Android Jetpack libraries, and Jetpack Compose.

Working conditions: This job role offers a balanced split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a distribution of 75% operational and 25% project-related tasks. To minimize the impact on business operations, some changes may be scheduled outside of regular business hours.
