Are you ready to shape the future of AI at Rabobank?

We are looking for a passionate Technical Business Analyst to join our team in Utrecht. In this role, you’ll act as the vital bridge between complex business ambitions and cutting-edge technical delivery, specifically focusing on our enterprise agentic AI platforms.

We know that navigating the intersection of AI, security, and enterprise infrastructure can be challenging. We’re looking for someone who can step in with empathy and clarity—someone who can translate high-level business goals into precise, testable requirements while keeping the human element and operational reality in focus.

What you’ll be doing:

• Bridging the Gap: You’ll facilitate conversations between business stakeholders, engineers, and security specialists to turn abstract ideas into actionable AI capabilities.
• Defining the Path: You’ll map out user journeys, process flows, and measurable acceptance criteria, ensuring that our AI agents operate safely and effectively within our systems.
• Ensuring Security & Compliance: You’ll act as a guardian of our digital standards, proactively addressing identity management, data protection, and regulatory requirements from day one.
• Challenging & Guiding: We value your critical thinking. You’ll help us surface hidden assumptions, resolve conflicts, and make potential risks and trade-offs visible.

What we’re looking for:

• A solid grasp of the AI landscape, including GenAI, agent runtimes, and tool-calling patterns.
• Experience with identity and access management (IAM), containerization (Kubernetes), and secure-by-design principles.
• A knack for documentation and communication—you can make complex technical concepts feel simple and business intent feel clear to technical teams.
• A collaborative spirit. You don’t need to be the lead architect, but you do need to be a trusted partner who can guide our teams toward success.
• Prior experience in banking or highly regulated sectors is a big plus.

The Practical Side:

• Commitment: This is a 36-hour/week role based in the Netherlands.
• Collaboration: We embrace a hybrid working model via the Rabobank @anywhere principle.
• Important Notes: Please note that ZZP/midlance constructions are not permitted. We require a single candidate submission per supplier, and we ask that you clearly state any planned holidays in your motivation.
• Screening: As part of our commitment to security, a pre-employment screening is a standard and necessary part of our process.

The Essentials

• Location & Availability: You must be based in the Netherlands and available to commit to a full-time role (36 hours per week) for the entire duration of the assignment.
• Language & Documentation: Proficiency in English is a must. Both your CV and personal motivation letter must be submitted in English. Additionally, you will need a valid passport or ID card ready for verification and must successfully pass our pre-employment screening process.
• Employment Status: Please note that we are looking for direct employment; ZZP (freelance) and midlance constructions are not permitted under our policy.
• Core Experience: You should have a proven track record as a Business or Technical Business Analyst within complex enterprise environments. You’re comfortable bridging the gap between business and technical teams, thrive in agile/hybrid settings, and have a knack for turning complex needs into clear, measurable requirements.
• Technical Fluency: We’re looking for someone with a solid grasp of the modern tech landscape, specifically:
  • AI & Automation: A strong conceptual understanding of Generative AI, chatbots, AI agents, and orchestration.
  • Security & IAM: A deep understanding of authentication, authorization, RBAC, SSO, and federation.
  • Cloud & Infrastructure: A high-level grasp of containerization, Kubernetes, and orchestration.
  • Security-by-Design: You have an awareness of data protection, secure handling of sensitive information, and the regulatory expectations typical in financial services.
• Soft Skills: You are a natural facilitator. You know how to manage stakeholders, map user journeys, and solve problems with a clear, analytical mind.

What Would Make You Stand Out

While the above is essential, we’d be particularly excited if you bring extra experience in:

• Working within the banking or financial services sector—or any other highly regulated industry.
• Deep, hands-on exposure to cloud platforms, APIs, advanced IAM, or containerized environments.

Working conditions: This job role offers a balanced split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a distribution of 75% operational and 25% project-related tasks. To minimize the impact on business operations, some changes may be scheduled outside of regular business hours.
