Want to help shape the future of Rabobank with innovation? This role is all about diving into two strategic innovation initiatives where data, client insights, and predictive analytics come together to spark new commercial opportunities and foster sustainable growth.

You & your role

As a Business Analyst, you're amazing at bridging the gap between business processes, data, and innovation. You'll be a key part of the WR Innovation team, working across both data analytics and prediction initiatives. Your mission? To explore how data and predictive analytics can lead to smarter decisions, unlock new commercial potential, and build a future-proof Rabobank.

You'll investigate how we can develop new business opportunities by looking at data, client behavior, and market trends. By doing this, you'll drive innovation within Wholesale Banking and help Rabobank get ready for whatever the future holds. Working at the crossroads of business development, data analytics, and innovation, you'll directly contribute to initiatives that bring real value to both clients and the bank.

Examples from practice

• Figuring out how to more accurately predict financing needs in Trade & Commodity Finance, especially during volatile market periods.
• Developing data-driven insights to help relationship managers and credit specialists spot commercial opportunities and risks earlier across different clients and sectors.
• Bringing together experts from business, data, risk, and product development to create innovative, data-driven solutions that boost client value and commercial growth.

Top 3 responsibilities

• Analyzing current business processes to pinpoint pain points, areas for improvement, and innovation opportunities that can lead to new business models.
• Designing and supporting experiments by defining hypotheses, data needs, and success metrics, while also assessing the viability of new concepts and predictive solutions.
• Connecting stakeholders across business, data, architecture, risk, and product development, translating complex findings into clear recommendations, fostering aligned decisions, and defining actionable next steps.

On top of that, you'll explore which predictive solutions best fit the innovation challenges we're tackling. You'll dive into available data, develop initial concepts and prototypes, and contribute to innovative proposals that help the bank adapt to future changes.

We're looking for someone with a knack for connecting with people and understanding what makes businesses tick. Here's what would make you a great fit:

• You've got experience managing relationships with stakeholders, especially in tricky, multifaceted situations.
• You're a pro at business analysis and have a talent for smoothing out processes to make things run better.
• You're comfortable diving into data, pulling out key insights, and seeing how they can spark new business ideas.
• You're a whiz with Excel.
• Python is your playground.
• Bonus points if you have experience in Corporate Banking, Trade Finance, or a similar area!

Working conditions: This job role offers a balanced split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a distribution of 75% operational and 25% project-related tasks. To minimize the impact on business operations, some changes may be scheduled outside of regular business hours.
