Our team is building an Enterprise Repository, a central hub that connects information from all across the bank. The goal is to transform this information into reliable, reusable, and actionable insights and data products. These products will encompass details about business processes, applications, technology assets, controls, risks, assessments, and configuration management. By making the relationships and dependencies between these elements clear and visible, the Enterprise Repository will empower better decision-making, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive bank-wide transformation.

As a Business Analyst for the Enterprise Repository, you'll be instrumental in bringing this vision to life by translating it into concrete data products. You'll define the structure, connections, governance, sharing, and consumption of data. Furthermore, you'll guide delivery teams in designing and building these data products, making sure they align with the bank's data standards, architectural principles, and approved tools.

You'll work within a multidisciplinary environment, collaborating closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, Business Architects, Tech Leads, and Data Engineers, all as part of a DevOps team. Together, you'll transform business and regulatory needs into scalable, secure, and compliant data solutions that can be easily maintained and reused throughout the bank.

It's a strategic data capability designed to help stakeholders understand dependencies, assess the impact of changes, demonstrate control and compliance, and evaluate transformation scenarios. Your contributions will be key in ensuring the Enterprise Repository becomes a trustworthy and truly fit-for-purpose asset for the bank.

Key Responsibilities

Translate the Enterprise Repository vision, along with business and regulatory requirements, into specific requirements and use cases.
Support the integration of domain models, canonical data models, metadata, taxonomies, and relationships within the Enterprise Repository.
Contribute to the design and realization of the Enterprise Repository, providing insights into processes, applications, assets, controls, risks, assessments, and their interdependencies.
Analyze the impact and implement taxonomies for the Enterprise Repository, such as IT and Business Process Taxonomy.
Investigate data quality issues and provide guidance on their impact and implementation within the Enterprise Repository.
Ensure the Enterprise Repository meets the bank's requirements for data quality, security, privacy, lineage, ownership, access, retention, and auditability.
Contribute to the implementation and rollout strategy for the Enterprise Repository.
Collaborate with data owners, data stewards, and product owners to establish clear accountability, define service levels, and set measurable quality criteria.
Support impact analysis, dependency management, scenario modeling, and "what-if" analysis by ensuring data and relationships are consistently modeled and easily accessible.

Collaboration and Leadership

You'll bridge the gap between business understanding and hands-on delivery. Your ability to explain complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences will be crucial for building alignment and fostering a constructive environment within the DevOps team.

Must-Have Experience

We're looking for at least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Information Analyst, Process Analyst, or a similar role.
It's important that you have experience working within complex enterprise environments.
You should be seasoned in managing stakeholders across both business and technology areas.
Strong skills in facilitating workshops are a must!
We need someone who can effectively translate business needs into practical, workable solutions.
The ability to break down strategic goals into actionable backlog items is key.
You'll need to bring strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to the table.
Excellent communication skills in English are essential.
You should be comfortable navigating complex organizational structures and influencing decisions.
Experience working in Agile environments is a big plus.

Preferred Expertise

Experience with the concept of an Enterprise Repository or something similar would be great.
Familiarity with ITIL and IT Service Management practices is preferred.
Understanding of Configuration Management and CMDB concepts is a bonus.
Experience with Data Governance and Data Quality Management would be valuable.
Knowledge of Azure Data & Analytics platforms would be a plus.
Experience with ITSM platforms like Halo, ServiceNow, BMC, or similar solutions would be beneficial.
Exposure to governance, compliance, and audit-related activities would be helpful.

Working conditions: This job role offers a balanced split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a distribution of 75% operational and 25% project-related tasks. To minimize the impact on business operations, some changes may be scheduled outside of regular business hours.
