As a designer for the Digital Platform within Rabobank, you'll be a key part of the Platform team in Chapter Design

Functie omschrijving

At Rabobank, we're really excited about how AI can make the design profession even stronger. We're looking into ways to make proven design knowledge more accessible, easier to reuse, and more actionable for everyone. As AI becomes a regular part of our design process, we see a fantastic chance to standardize best practices, quality benchmarks, and decision-making patterns. Our goal is to help designers work more consistently and effectively, making their day-to-day tasks smoother and more impactful.

Here within Chapter Design, we're aiming to create a central AI Skill library. This library will be a go-to resource for designers, offering trusted guidance for all those recurring activities we all do – like design reviews, accessibility checks, crafting UX copy, making sure everything aligns with our design system, giving and receiving design critiques, and getting ready for handovers. Instead of replacing the valuable expertise of our designers, these AI Skills are meant to empower them to make better-informed choices, apply standards consistently, and free up more time to focus on what they do best: creating truly high-quality experiences.

To help us bring this vision to life, we're on the lookout for a designer who's not only experienced in design but also understands AI-supported workflows and knowledge management. You'll be instrumental in translating our valuable design knowledge into reusable AI Skills and laying the groundwork for these skills to be adopted widely across Chapter Design.

Your Role

As a designer for the Digital Platform within Rabobank, you'll be a key part of the Platform team in Chapter Design. You'll be responsible for defining, creating, and maintaining a thriving ecosystem of reusable AI Skills specifically for designers.

Your main mission will be to transform our design standards, best practices, and quality criteria into practical, reusable AI Skills. These skills will act as guides, helping to challenge and speed up design work. You'll be creating a shared foundation that promotes quality, consistency, and efficiency across our teams, all while ensuring that our talented designers remain in charge of the final decisions and outcomes.

Your Responsibilities

  • Setting up a centralized structure and a clear blueprint for AI skills across the entire Chapter.
  • Identifying and digging into key sources of knowledge, including insights from designers, stakeholders, existing Figma files, the journeys we've implemented, and current documentation.
  • Translating our existing design standards, review frameworks, and best practices into reusable AI Skills that are easy to use and understand.
  • Developing and testing practical examples of AI Skills for things like UX Writing, Design Reviews, Accessibility Assessments, Design System Alignment, Developer Handovers, and Documentation.
  • Working closely with designers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to gather and organize essential design knowledge.

Together We Achieve More

You'll be joining Chapter Design, which is Rabobank's in-house design department. We're a diverse and inclusive bunch of over 100 creative professionals, with expertise spanning UX Design, Visual Design, Service Design, Strategy, and Research. What really ties us together is our shared culture of curiosity, collaboration, creativity, and a commitment to continuous learning. We even have our own design studio in Utrecht, complete with workshop spaces and all the tools you could need. We offer plenty of opportunities for you to grow your skills and bring your ideas to life.

This is a temporary role, from 1st October 2026 to 31st December 2026, with the possibility of extension.

This position follows a hybrid working model, where you'll generally be expected to work from the office two days a week, specifically on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

We're looking for someone to work approximately 36 hours per week.

Please note: Subcontracting (ZZP) is not permitted for this role.

Applications can be submitted until 16th September 2026 at 10:00 AM.
