Here's a look at the key responsibilities you'd be taking on:

• You'll be building ETL architectures based on demand, moving structured and non-structured data into a Hitachi Content Platform (HCP) Object store for archiving.
• Creating bespoke data archives to meet specific business needs, like those for regulation and compliance.
• Developing a flexible framework to ingest data from decommissioned applications into searchable archives. This means applications could present their data (e.g., from a database) in a pre-defined format for easy ingestion and searching.
• Delivering a standard, secure interface for searching these archives.
• Looking ahead to anticipate future needs and innovating existing solutions.
• Coding, testing, documenting, and maintaining standardized, automated data pipelines.
• Helping to design and build the infrastructure needed for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources.
• Building analytics tools that leverage the data pipelines to offer actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics.
• You'll be responsible for testing, documentation, and handing over solutions to the customer.
• Meeting aggressive project timelines will be crucial.
• Communicating progress and any risks to the team is also a key part of the role.

When it comes to your business knowledge and technical skills, we're hoping you have:

• Experience building and optimizing 'big data' data pipelines, architectures, and datasets.
• Strong analytical skills for working with both structured and non-structured data.
• The ability to build processes that support data transformation, structures, metadata, dependencies, and workload management.
• A proven track record of manipulating, combining, processing, and extracting value from large, disparate datasets.
• Experience supporting and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of SIARD (Software Independent Archiving of Relational Databases) would be a great plus.

We're looking for someone with existing experience or a strong aptitude in a Data Engineering role. Ideally, you'll also have experience with specific software and tools (though these aren't listed here, they would be detailed elsewhere).

Here's what we're looking for:

Must-haves:

• You'll need solid experience scripting with Python or PowerShell on both Windows and Linux.
• We'd love for you to have experience with at least one object-oriented language like C#, JavaScript, or .Net.
• Experience with UI development, especially with React, would be a big plus!

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience creating playbooks in Ansible Automation Platform.
• Good working knowledge and experience with MSSQL and Oracle databases.
• Familiarity with Hitachi Content Platform.
• Knowledge of Solr.
