Are you a seasoned Senior DevOps Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to shape the IT Service Management (ITSM) Platform at Rabobank? This role is all about ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience for everyone interacting with the platform, covering all key ITIL processes like Incident, Problem, Request, Change, and Asset Management. You'll be tackling support tickets from end-users and driving the implementation of optimized, scalable processes directly on the platform.
We operate with standardized Process Model Definitions for our ITIL processes. Your mission will be to make sure each process is accurately translated and brought to life on the platform, working hand-in-hand with our Delegated Process Owners. This is your chance to make a real impact!
Since the platform is cloud-based and vendor-managed, you can wave goodbye to the worries of system lifecycle management and infrastructure upkeep. Your focus will be razor-sharp on configuration, implementing those crucial processes, and driving continuous improvement. You'll be part of a dynamic DevOps squad, leveraging the platform's out-of-the-box features to deliver maximum value. Just a heads-up, the platform demands 24/7 availability, so being ready for standby/on-call shifts is part of the gig.
Don't worry about needing a super deep technical background; the platform is designed to be intuitive. However, if you've got SQL knowledge, that's a definite plus! Many of the underlying configurations and logic pieces are built using SQL statements. And if you're familiar with the flow-based structure of runbooks, even better!
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Implementing clever, scalable services by utilizing the ITSM platform's built-in capabilities, all while following Process Model Definitions and automation best practices.
- Offering expert advice and support to the platform's end-users.
- Guiding request fulfillment and championing self-service through the ITSM Portal.
- Supporting the service owners who deliver their services via the platform.
- Taking ownership and resolving tickets submitted by platform consumers to your squad.
- Teaming up with your squad and Product Owner to drive continuous improvements – proactively seeking ways to make the user experience even better.

- You've got a knack for digging deep and spotting ways to make things run smoother.
- You're a whiz at communicating your ideas clearly and effectively.
- Your problem-solving skills are top-notch – you can connect the dots and get to the heart of any issue.
- You're familiar with ITIL principles, which is super helpful.
- You're adaptable and ready to jump in wherever you're needed, no matter the task.
- You can craft clear, well-organized documentation that everyone, from end-users to your team, can easily understand.
- You're comfortable working solo but know exactly when and how to loop in the right people.
- Bonus points if you've got experience with ITSM platforms like Service Manager, ServiceNow, or Halo!
- Having SQL experience is also a great plus!
- Basic REST API knowledge is a must – let's get things connected!

Working conditions: This job role offers a balanced split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a distribution of 75% operational and 25% project-related tasks. To minimize the impact on business operations, some changes may be scheduled outside of regular business hours.
