Our Tech4HR chapter is dedicated to developing, delivering, and maintaining HR technology solutions that support over 43,000 employees globally. Following the successful implementation of Workday as our global HR platform, we're continuing to streamline and optimize our HR technology landscape to drive our digital HR strategy forward.

To bolster our Global HR Systems team, we're seeking an experienced Workday Solution Specialist with a keen interest in the Total Reward domain. In this role, you'll be instrumental in shaping, maintaining, and continuously enhancing Rabobank’s Workday environment, ensuring we deliver scalable, user-friendly, and future-proof solutions for employees, managers, and HR professionals worldwide.

Your Impact

As a Workday Solution Specialist, you'll translate business needs into effective Workday solutions while upholding the integrity of our global design. Working within an Agile and DevOps framework, you'll collaborate closely with colleagues across HR, IT, and other business areas to deliver high-quality improvements and foster continuous innovation.

You'll play a pivotal role in optimizing processes and employee journeys related to compensation, benefits, rewards, absence management, and other Workday functionalities.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into sustainable, scalable Workday solutions.
• Design and configure Workday functionality in alignment with global standards, architectural principles, and business objectives.
• Assess the impact of proposed changes and validate new Workday releases.
• Configure and maintain solutions within Workday HCM, Compensation & Benefits, Advanced Compensation, and Time & Absence.
• Provide clear solution recommendations, including outlining alternatives, trade-offs, and implementation considerations.
• Collaborate with global and local HR stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and optimization.
• Support testing activities, defect analysis, and release deployment.
• Develop and maintain functional documentation and knowledge materials.
• Deliver user support, knowledge transfer, and training as needed.
• Work closely with integration and technology teams to assess impacts on connected systems and processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the ongoing evolution of Rabobank’s global HR technology landscape.

• Enhancing employee, manager, and HR user journeys within Workday.
• Designing and implementing improvements in the Compensation and Rewards domain.
• Optimizing Workday configurations to boost automation, data quality, and user experience.
• Evaluating new Workday functionalities and advising on their adoption within the global template.
• Collaborating with Product Owners, HR experts, and fellow specialists to deliver innovative HR solutions.

What You Bring

Required Experience

• At least 5 years of hands-on Workday configuration experience.
• Proven expertise in one or more of the following areas:
  • Workday Core HCM
  • Compensation & Benefits
  • Advanced Compensation
  • Time & Absence
• Experience translating business requirements into practical system solutions.
• Experience working in complex international environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Good understanding of HR processes, policies, and employee lifecycle management.
• Experience working within Agile and DevOps delivery models.
• Familiarity with Workday release management, testing, and change implementation.
• A strong quality mindset with attention to detail.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Working conditions: This job role offers a balanced split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a distribution of 75% operational and 25% project-related tasks. To minimize the impact on business operations, some changes may be scheduled outside of regular business hours.
