No matter if you're starting your day from the cozy comfort of your home or enjoying your morning coffee in the office garden, your tasks will feel pretty familiar:

  • You'll be the go-to for the DevOps platform, and your superpower is automation! You'll manage configurations with Ansible, handle deployments using Azure DevOps and GitHub pipelines, and you won't miss a single chance to automate those repetitive operational tasks with Python and Shell scripting.
  • You'll have a holistic view of everything: Deployments, Operations, Production Support, High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Backup & Restore, Security Monitoring, and comprehensive Full Stack Observability.
  • Taking ownership of the Linux (RHEL) platform operations is key, ensuring everything is stable, performing well, secure, and constantly improving.
  • You'll enhance application and platform monitoring using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry (OTEL), and the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), all while sticking to our agreed alerting standards.
  • Dive into logs, metrics, traces, and telemetry data to proactively spot issues, performance hiccups, and potential reliability risks.
  • You'll actively support and participate in High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) testing.
  • We encourage you to work with the latest tools, always with a sharp focus on automation, performance, stability, observability, and security.
  • Own the lifecycle management for all platform components – that includes Operating Systems, Middleware, Certificates, User Access Management, Vulnerability Remediation, Security Patching, and all related controls.
  • Actively seek out opportunities to automate existing features, operational processes, deployments, monitoring, alerting, and security controls.
  • Dig deep to understand the root cause of incidents, recurring issues, and service gaps, and then propose solid, sustainable solutions to prevent them from happening again.
  • Take full ownership of issues and improvements, seeing them all the way through to completion and providing thorough handovers when needed.
  • Lend a hand with technical specifications for change requests and user stories.
  • Analyze requirements and figure out how they fit into our existing technical platform landscape.
  • Work on exciting technical improvements, including automation, Linux platform engineering, monitoring, observability, environment management, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Drive continuous deployment and delivery using Azure DevOps / GitHub pipelines.
  • Collaborate effectively within an Agile/Scrum squad, working closely with the Technical Product Owner and showcasing your solutions to stakeholders.
  • Ensure IT Risk and Security controls are not just implemented but also well-documented and maintained, fully aligned with the organization's Information Security Management Policy.
  • Always adhere to all internal guidelines, complete your mandatory training on time, and consistently safeguard the organization's integrity and reputation.

It's important that you have strong Linux administration skills, especially with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). This includes being comfortable with troubleshooting, performance tuning, patching, and general operational support.

Cloud and CI/CD experience is key here, particularly with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions/Pipelines. We also need you to have experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry (OTEL), the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), or similar platforms. This includes practical experience in production monitoring, setting up alerts, logging, tracing, performing root cause analysis, and managing incidents.

A strong grasp of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting in distributed environments is also a must. You'll be working with CI/CD and DevSecOps tools like Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub, SonarQube, and Checkmarx. Experience with virtualization and container technologies such as VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or OpenStack is highly valued.

We'd love to see your ability to automate deployments, releases, and operational tasks using Python, Shell scripting, and Ansible. A real passion for technology, a drive for continuous improvement, and a knack for automation are what we're looking for.
