QCarbon is absolutely vital for making Business Continuity Management a real success at KPN!

As a frontend developer on this platform, you'll be diving into security-critical work where getting things right, keeping them consistent, and making sure they're easy to maintain is super important.

You'll tackle complex security applications where accuracy, consistency, and crystal-clear code are paramount. This gig isn't just about your tech skills; you'll also need to really get how the application fits into the bigger functional and business picture.

You’ll be teaming up closely with your colleagues and stakeholders, making a direct impact on design choices, how things are built, and continuously leveling up the platform.

What you'll be doing:

• Hunting down, implementing, and testing the absolute best and most innovative frontend solutions to make the platform shine.
• Keeping the current application in top shape and proactively suggesting smart functional and technical upgrades.
• Crafting top-notch, well-organized, and maintainable frontend code with an eagle eye for detail.
• Cracking complex problems while nailing consistency, reliability, and scalability.
• Jumping right into Agile/Scrum meetings as a true team player.
• Taking full ownership of features from start to finish: you build it, you run it, you own it!

Technologies You'll Be Working With:

Core Skills (Be ready from day one!):

• Angular Framework (latest versions): You’ve got production-grade experience under your belt, from component architecture and services to dependency injection, routing, and lifecycle management. Bonus points if you've made architectural decisions about feature/module design and real-world application structure.
• TypeScript: You're fluent in advanced types, decorators, interfaces, generics, and all those modern ES6+ features that make frontend apps robust.
• NgRx State Management: You know your way around Store, Effects, Selectors, and Entity patterns for handling complex application state and data flow, including thoughtful state modeling and store design.
• Component Design: Creating reusable component libraries, working with design systems, and architecting maintainable UIs are your jam.
• Frontend Fundamentals: You're a wizard with advanced HTML markup and modern CSS (think Grid, Flexbox, and animations).
• UI Components: Implementing design systems with Angular Material or Material UI smoothly and ensuring accessible interfaces is your forte.
• Version Control: You're a Git guru, comfortable with advanced workflows, branching strategies, code review processes, and collaborative development.

Strong Plus (We expect you to master these quickly!):

• CI/CD Pipelines: You understand automated testing, build optimization, deployment strategies, and continuous integration.
• Containerization: You've got practical experience with Docker for dev environments and/or Kubernetes for scalable deployments.
• Unit Testing: You're proficient with Jasmine/Karma for component and service testing, and you embrace test-driven development.
• API Standards: You know your way around the JSON:API specification for standardized communication and data normalization.
• API Documentation: Integrating OpenAPI/Swagger for API-driven development and automated documentation is second nature.
• Framework Versatility: You've built production features in Vue or React – not just tutorials or experiments!
• Performance Optimization: You're skilled in bundle optimization, lazy loading, code splitting, and fine-tuning runtime performance.

We're a dynamic DevOps product team, fueled by 4 highly experienced and knowledge-driven engineers, a sharp Product Owner, and an efficient Scrum Master. We're an international crew, proudly based in Rotterdam, Netherlands, and embracing a hybrid way of working. Our collaboration extends to key stakeholders in Security, Infrastructure, AWS, and various business units. Right now, we're in the midst of an exciting backend overhaul, migrating from Django / Django REST Framework / Redis to FastAPI and SQLAlchemy, all running seamlessly in Docker on AWS.
