Imagine someone who:
- Writes both the front-end and back-end code.
- Designs those awesome user interfaces you interact with.
- Builds the databases and servers that keep everything running smoothly.
- Makes sure your experience is top-notch whether you're on a laptop, tablet, or smartphone.
- Gets the big picture of how the organization's systems work.
- Sniffs out and fixes bugs, no matter where they hide.
- Keeps the lines of communication open with UI/UX designers and the rest of the team, discussing everything from user experience to design choices.
- Basically, they're with a development project from the very first idea all the way to launch!
Ready for a challenge? Here's what you'll be doing:
- Design, build, and keep our backend services humming using .NET on Azure.
- Craft clean, maintainable, and well-tested code that's a breeze to understand, complete with solid documentation.
- Make smart technical calls, keeping performance, scalability, cost, and reliability front and center.
- Implement event-driven architectures to make sure our systems communicate like a well-oiled machine.
- Own your features completely – from the initial idea all the way through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing monitoring.
- Champion best practices in code quality, security, and performance.
- Team up with awesome cross-functional teams to deliver incredible, end-to-end solutions.
You'll also get to shape our architecture, striking that perfect balance between what the business needs and technical brilliance. We're talking about building solutions that are not just secure and scalable, but truly future-proof!
Here are the details:
- Duration: August 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026 (with potential for extension!)
- Important Note: This is NOT a freelance role.
- Hours: 36 hours per week.
- Office Presence: You'll need to pop into our Amsterdam office 1 or 2 days a week. Thursdays are often the day, but we can chat about what works best for the team.

Functie Eisen
Skills
- Over 7 years of development experience, with a strong focus on back-end technologies.
- Deep expertise in .NET Core and C#, complemented by a solid understanding of Angular or similar front-end frameworks.
- Proven hands-on experience with Azure services, including Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, Key Vault, App Insights, and Container Apps.
- Proficient in event-driven architectures and messaging systems like Kafka.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

- Excellent communication skills, adept at proactively engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A sharp focus on delivering high-quality code, prioritizing security and optimal performance.

Working conditions: This job role offers a balanced split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a distribution of 75% operational and 25% project-related tasks. To minimize the impact on business operations, some changes may be scheduled outside of regular business hours.
