Your Role & You

As a Senior Insights Data Scientist, you’re a wizard at taking complex Transaction Monitoring data and turning it into actionable insights and ready-to-use solutions. You’ll be a key player in Squad Metis, blending advanced analytics, software development, and a deep understanding of the business. Your mission? To build automated solutions that help your colleagues fine-tune Transaction Monitoring rules, assess their effectiveness, and make smarter, data-driven decisions.

What You'll Be Doing (Examples)

• Developing analytical models and decision logic to pinpoint which customer segments, parameters, or rules need the most attention for tuning.
• Translating both "Above-the-Line" and "Below-the-Line" tuning processes into clear, data-driven recommendations and robust analytical solutions.
• Creating production-ready dashboards and decision-support tools that make complex insights easy for everyone to grasp.

• It's a 36-hour work week.
• You'll be diving into transaction data from more than 9.5 million customers.
• You'll be part of a global team of over 48,000 Rabobank colleagues.

Your Top 3 Responsibilities:

• Building and refining analytical pipelines to automate rule tuning and support large-scale, multi-parameter analysis.
• Owning end-to-end analytical projects, from understanding the core business questions to presenting clear, impactful recommendations to stakeholders.
• Designing and developing production-ready dashboards and analytical tools that streamline automated tuning and investigation workflows.

You'll be working hand-in-hand with colleagues from Business, Technology, and Operations. Together, you'll enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of our Transaction Monitoring efforts.

Functie Eisen

• Master’s degree in a technical field
• More than 7 years of experience in data analysis using Python
• Experience with PySpark, Databricks and Power BI
• Experience building end-to-end solutions using repositories, version control, pipelines and testing frameworks
• The ability to uncover the real question behind a request and present your recommendations convincingly
• Experience guiding junior and mid-level colleagues and sharing your technical vision

Working conditions: This job role offers a balanced split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a distribution of 75% operational and 25% project-related tasks. To minimize the impact on business operations, some changes may be scheduled outside of regular business hours.
