We're on the lookout for a talented MarTech Data Engineering Lead to join us in building out ING's MarTech platform. We see data as the absolute bedrock for all our MarTech endeavors. In this Engineering Lead role, you'll be instrumental in shaping our data engineering and integration strategy. You'll be working closely with our business users, data analysts, and data scientists to really get a handle on their use cases. Plus, you'll team up with our architecture folks to translate those needs into actionable solutions for our engineering team to bring to life.

Assignment Details:

• Duration: July 9, 2026 - July 9, 2027, with an option to extend.
• Location: Amsterdam.

Functie Eisen

CDP & Customer Data Platforms

• You've got at least 5 years of hands-on experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs).
• You have a solid track record of defining customer identity strategies, unifying profiles, and building audience strategies.
• You have a strong grasp of how to activate customer data and navigate omnichannel marketing ecosystems.
• Experience with CDPs that offer flexible/open schemas would be a fantastic bonus!

Data Architecture & Engineering

• You have a robust background in data engineering.
• You're experienced in designing data integration architectures that can scale.
• You have a solid understanding of:
  • Data modeling
  • Customer identity resolution
  • Data governance
  • Data quality frameworks
  • Event-driven architectures
  • API-based integrations
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms like Google GCP is definitely a plus.

Technical Leadership & Integration

• You have experience leading engineering teams.
• You're skilled at translating business needs into practical solutions for teams to implement.
• You can comfortably interact with both business users and architecture teams.
• You've got experience integrating CDPs with various platforms, including:
  • CRM platforms
  • Marketing Automation platforms
  • Analytics platforms
  • Consent Management platforms
  • Customer Engagement solutions
• You're comfortable collaborating with and constructively challenging vendors, as well as reviewing technical designs.

Soft Skills

• You have excellent communication and presentation skills.
• You can clearly explain complex technical ideas to people who aren't technical.
• You're a natural problem-solver with strong analytical abilities.
• You take ownership and accountability for your work.
• You're a dedicated team player and comfortable with Agile methodologies.
• You can thrive in complex, international work environments.

Working conditions: This job role offers a balanced split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a distribution of 75% operational and 25% project-related tasks. To minimize the impact on business operations, some changes may be scheduled outside of regular business hours.
