Ready to make a real impact? Rabobank is on the hunt for a Senior Network Operations Engineer to join their awesome Office Networking Squad. You'll be diving deep into their HPE Aruba SD-Branch based office network, ensuring top-notch wired and wireless connectivity for Rabobank offices worldwide. This isn't just a project gig; it's a crucial operational role where you'll be a key player in an Agile team. You'll own daily operations, keep services humming, manage changes and deployments, tackle release testing, and drive continuous improvement in a massive enterprise setting. Here's what you'll be doing:

• Become the go-to troubleshooter for all things LAN, WiFi, SD-WAN, and authentication issues.
• Unravel complex problems with some solid root cause analysis.
• Handle service requests, operational tickets, and changes like a pro – totally independently!
• Keep an eye on monitoring alerts and figure out what's what for service impact.
• Be the driving force behind awesome improvements in automation, monitoring, documentation, and cutting down on those annoying recurring incidents.
• Jump right into Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute your insights.
• Keep everyone in the loop – stakeholders, regional IT teams, suppliers, and end-users.
• Be ready to pitch in with an occasional standby/on-call rotation.

Functie Eisen

To really rock this role, you'll want to have these skills locked down:

• A deep understanding of routing and switching is key.
• You'll need to get your head around SD-WAN architectures, including how overlays and underlying connections work (think IPsec, segmentation, and routing behavior!).
• Knowing how enterprise authentication flows operate (like 802.1X/RADIUS) is a big plus.
• You should be super comfortable troubleshooting in large-scale enterprise network setups.
• Experience with ITIL-based operations (incident and change management) is a must.
• Being able to work solo and own your tasks is essential.
• You've got to have strong communication skills, especially when dealing with operations and stakeholders.
• Getting the hang of Python scripting – reading, tweaking, and writing basic scripts – will set you apart.
• Having experience with REST APIs and Git is really valuable.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and understanding how these affect services is important too.

And if you've got any of these, even better:

• Experience with Aruba Central, Aruba SD-Branch, and/or Aruba ClearPass (or similar enterprise networking, SD-WAN, or NAC platforms) would be fantastic.
• Being able to dive into logs and figure out authentication or NAC issues is a huge advantage.
• You should feel confident making changes to configurations or policies in network and NAC environments.
• An automation mindset is crucial – think about how you can boost operational efficiency with scripts, APIs, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices like version control and CI/CD concepts is a nice-to-have.

Working conditions: This job role offers a balanced split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a distribution of 75% operational and 25% project-related tasks. To minimize the impact on business operations, some changes may be scheduled outside of regular business hours.
