You'll be working with a fantastic, multidisciplinary group of pros – think proposition managers, journey experts, UX/UI designers, data analysts, developers, architects, business analysts, and product owners. Together, we handle everything from figuring out what customers need to experimenting, building, launching, and constantly making things even better.

You & your role

As a Performance Test Engineer in the IT4IT squad, you'll be the go-to person for defining, measuring, and continuously improving application performance across the entire tech stack. You'll blend performance engineering with hands-on testing to ensure our customer-facing apps always meet our high standards for performance, scalability, and reliability, both before and after they go live.

Your mission will be to set and track response-time goals, pinpoint areas for performance boosts, and empower our feature teams to make customer experiences even better through increased speed, quality, and reliability. Plus, you'll validate new releases with performance testing and provide key insights and recommendations to support release readiness and ongoing improvements.

Examples of tasks

• Setting and keeping an eye on performance KPIs and targets for applications and customer journeys.
• Designing and running performance, load, and stress tests for both new and existing applications.
• Making sure non-functional requirements and performance standards are met before releases.
• Analyzing test results and turning findings into practical improvements for feature teams.
• Integrating performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and engineering workflows.
• Supporting release readiness assessments and performance checks before production deployments.
• Creating dashboards and tools to make performance data easily accessible and help feature teams with troubleshooting.
• Teaming up with DevOps engineers, platform teams, and leadership to drive performance enhancements and elevate the customer experience.

You'll be part of the IT4IT squad, working right at the intersection of data, engineering, and infrastructure. You'll collaborate closely with DevOps engineers, platform teams, and leadership to push performance improvements and enhance the user experience.

We're looking for someone with a real knack for understanding how things perform and keeping them running smoothly! Here’s what we hope you bring to the table:

• You’ve got a good handle on performance metrics and KPIs.
• You’re familiar with different performance, load, and stress testing methods.
• You have experience in validating non-functional requirements and making sure everything's ready for release.
• You have solid experience as both an application engineer and an infrastructure/platform engineer, comfortable working with multiple technologies.
• You have a strong grasp of complex architectures and can easily figure out and explain the impact of any changes.
• You’ve worked with performance test frameworks and APM tools.
• You’re comfortable using dashboards and visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Grafana.
• You have experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• You understand DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and how engineering workflows operate.
• You're great at managing stakeholders, whether they're technical folks or not.
• You’re proactive, love getting results, and are always looking for ways to improve.
• You’re comfortable navigating the dynamic environment of a new organization where things might not always be clearly defined.

Working conditions: This job role offers a balanced split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a distribution of 75% operational and 25% project-related tasks. To minimize the impact on business operations, some changes may be scheduled outside of regular business hours.
