You & Your Role

As a Performance Test Engineer in the IT4IT squad, your mission is to define, measure, and continuously elevate application performance across the entire technology stack. You’ll blend performance engineering expertise with hands-on testing to ensure our customer-facing applications consistently meet and exceed agreed-upon standards for performance, scalability, and reliability, both before and after they go live.

You’ll set and track response-time goals, pinpoint opportunities for performance enhancements, and empower feature teams to boost customer satisfaction through faster, more reliable, and higher-quality experiences. Plus, you'll validate new releases with rigorous performance testing, providing valuable insights and recommendations to ensure smooth releases and drive ongoing improvements.

Examples of Tasks

• Defining and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets across various applications and customer journeys.
• Designing and executing performance, load, and stress tests for both new and existing applications.
• Validating non-functional requirements and performance standards before releases.
• Analyzing test results and transforming findings into practical improvements for feature teams.
• Integrating performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and engineering workflows.
• Supporting release readiness assessments and performance validation prior to production deployments.
• Building dashboards and tools to make performance data easily accessible and aid troubleshooting within feature teams.
• Collaborating with DevOps engineers, platform teams, and leadership to champion performance improvements and elevate the customer experience.

You & your talent

• Experience with performance metrics and KPIs
• Familiarity with performance, load, and stress testing methodologies.
• Experience in validating non-functional requirements and release readiness.
• Strong multilingual experience as both an application engineer and an infrastructure/platform engineer.
• A solid grasp of complex architectures, with the ability to quickly understand and explain the impact of architectural changes.
• Experience using performance test frameworks and APM tools.
• Proficiency with dashboarding and visualization tools (like Power BI, Tableau, Grafana).
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering workflows.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A proactive, results-driven mindset focused on continuous improvement.
• Comfortable navigating and thriving in a newly forming organization with a high degree of ambiguity.

Working conditions: This job role offers a balanced split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a distribution of 75% operational and 25% project-related tasks. To minimize the impact on business operations, some changes may be scheduled outside of regular business hours.
