Data is the lifeblood of everything they do, and user experience is absolutely critical in how that data is created and managed. That's why we're on the hunt for a senior UX Designer to craft amazing experiences for Rabobank employees working with internal Data, Analytics, and IT services at scale.

As a senior designer, you'll be the driving force behind an internal portal that will onboard users to our data and analytics services. This is a golden opportunity to really dive deep into a complex environment with tons of stakeholders – think tribe and area leads, product owners, developers, and other brilliant minds. Your mission? To take this portal to the next level by:

  • Boosting and organizing its information architecture.
  • Defining super clear navigation and user flows that perfectly sync up with business processes.
  • Designing and testing the UX for crucial user journeys.
  • Plus, you'll be working hand-in-hand with fellow designers to ensure a consistent look and feel across our entire IT landscape. You'll create reusable components that lead to a scalable, intuitive, and absolutely top-notch employee experience.

You'll be a vital part of the Agency team, which sits within the broader Design chapter. You'll own the entire design process, from the get-go to the finish line, collaborating closely with stakeholders and your colleagues in the Enterprise UX team – researchers included – to deliver outstanding, high-quality designs. We're all about teamwork here, and you'll join a passionate, results-driven design team that's part of the larger Rabobank Chapter Design, a dynamic community of around 100 designers with a fantastic range of skills and backgrounds.

Assignment Details:

  • Duration: August 3, 2026 - December 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension.
  • Submission Deadline: July 7, 2026, 15:00.
  • Start Date: As soon as possible.
  • Assignment End Date: December 31, 2026.
  • Extension Potential: There's a strong chance this assignment will be extended.
  • Workload: A minimum of 32 hours per week, with a preference for 36 hours.
  • Interviews: Scheduled for Week 30.
  • Work Location: Hybrid. Expect to be in the office 1-2 days per week on average, based on business needs and in agreement with your team and stakeholders.
  • Language: English is the primary working language. Knowing Dutch is a big plus!
  • Note: Self-employed individuals are not eligible for this role.

  • You've got 5-10 years of experience under your belt as a UX Designer.
  • You're a strategic and analytical thinker, adept at transforming complex challenges into elegantly simple and intuitive solutions.
  • Tackling complex user journeys is your jam.
  • You thrive on the challenge of crafting creative and impactful solutions, even within a intricate data & IT landscape.
  • You can masterfully maintain a user-centered mindset in a technology-heavy environment, confidently challenging assumptions without rocking the boat with your stakeholders.
  • Navigating large organizations is second nature to you, and you know just how to rally support for your brilliant ideas and concepts.
  • You're fluent with design and prototyping tools like Figma and have a solid grasp of service design methods, including creative facilitation.
  • You have proven experience successfully steering complex design projects to completion.
  • And of course, you possess excellent communication skills in English.

Working conditions: This job role offers a balanced split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a distribution of 75% operational and 25% project-related tasks. To minimize the impact on business operations, some changes may be scheduled outside of regular business hours.
