At Rabobank, our mission is to grow a better world together. A big part of that is making our society safer by spotting financial economic crime (FEC). We also act as guardians of our financial system, working to prevent money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions violations, human trafficking, and corruption.

Within the Sanctions Detection area, our Sanctions team is focused on building a new, future-proof global sanctions transaction filtering system. This will eventually replace our current legacy systems.

You and Your Role

As a Test Automation Engineer, you'll be responsible for the stability and integrity of our systems, ensuring functionality is delivered to production securely and automatically. Your efforts, alongside your teammates, will help us achieve a fast turnaround from requirement to delivery.

Your Contribution

• As a versatile automation tester, you'll be a champion for quality assurance and a driving force for essential change and continuous improvement. You're confident in both manual and automated testing and can inspire colleagues with your vision for quality and enhancements. You'll actively participate in team decisions and encourage constructive challenges among team members regarding solutions and choices.
• You see yourself as an integral part of a DevOps team, where testing is woven into the development process. You'll contribute to maintaining and further developing the system, delivering a high-quality, high-value product in close collaboration with your colleagues.

Duration: ASAP - 31 AUG 2027 with an option to extend

Location: Utrecht

Functie Eisen

We're looking for someone with a strong grasp of test automation and its tools. It would be great if you're experienced in setting up and putting automated testing into practice. Plus, having worked in Agile environments using Scrum is a big plus!

Being able to chat clearly and effectively in English, both in writing and speaking, is really important to us.

Here's a rundown of the tools and tech we'd love for you to have experience with:

• Linux, Git, XML/XSLT/JSON, Java, Python (basics), Selenium, Postman
• Behavior Driven Development testing (Cucumber)
• Performance Testing and Performance Testing Tools

Having experience with any of these would be a fantastic bonus:

• Podman, Docker, (Oracle) SQL, VSC, Ansible, YAML, Dynatrace, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• RiskShield Software: Server & RAC
• Setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
• Integrating Azure DevOps with Reporting
• Working in complex system/banking environments
• A basic understanding of Payment Chains and Sanction Regulations
• Getting involved in operational and support activities

Working conditions: This job role offers a balanced split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a distribution of 75% operational and 25% project-related tasks. To minimize the impact on business operations, some changes may be scheduled outside of regular business hours.
