For our client in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Test Engineer (Financial applications, Mortgages, Azure Devops).Functie omschrijving
Hey there! As an engineer on our Agile team (we call it a squad!), you'll be teaming up with some really open-minded and motivated colleagues. We work in two-week sprints, which keeps things moving and focused. You'll also be encouraged to share your thoughts and insights with other Agile teams, both within your chapter and beyond. This is all about spreading knowledge and helping everyone grow together – no need to wait to be asked!
Your day-to-day will involve a few key things:
- Keeping our mortgage application systems running smoothly (that's the functional/application maintenance part).
- Developing and maintaining automated regression tests for Topicus Force. We use Java, BDD, and Selenium for this – pretty cool stuff!
- Doing functional testing for Stater – Estate applications, covering both common and specific features.
- Testing and deploying software versions.
- Being there to support the users of our mortgage application systems.
- Building and maintaining our MS deployment pipeline using Azure DevOps.
Functie eisen
We're looking for someone with a strong background in testing, particularly senior-level experience. It would be fantastic if you have a solid understanding of financial applications and mortgage products. Experience with Force and Estate would also be a big plus.
Ideally, you've also implemented financial software packages before. We really value expertise in test automation, and specifically, experience in building virtual test environments. Being comfortable with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps and Docker is essential. And of course, working in an Agile, Scrum, or Kanban environment is key. We'd love for you to be fluent in both Dutch and English!
About Our Tech Stack:
- Our back-end APIs are built on an internal Spring (Boot) framework.
- We use Oracle/MSSQL and run everything on virtualized hardware (Linux/Wintel).
- Our Windows Server platform relies on minimal third-party software.
- Our end-to-end automated regression test suites are developed using Java, Selenium, a private cloud, and Docker.
We understand that regulatory requirements can make our release processes a bit formal. We're hoping you can quickly grasp these processes and are eager to find ways to improve and automate them even further. We really appreciate that kind of proactive approach!
Bonus Points (Nice to Haves):
- Some basic skills in Linux/Windows operations and automation would be helpful.
- Experience building applications within a Java framework like Spring Boot would be great.
- Any advanced knowledge that could help us enhance our CI/CD pipeline (think Azure DevOps and/or Docker) is highly valued.
- Experience with DevOps practices, including production monitoring tools like Grafana and Kibana, would be a wonderful addition.
- Previous experience in a business environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with security monitoring is also something we're interested in.
