Ben jij de Test Engineer die onze netwerkinfrastructuur naar een hoger niveau tilt?

Als Test Engineer speel je een centrale rol in een multidisciplinair team dat werkt aan de cruciale netwerkinfrastructuur van Defensie. Binnen onze subsectie 'Hoog Gerubriceerde Informatievoorziening' (HGI) zet je jouw netwerkkennis in om Nederland veiliger te maken. Jouw werk is essentieel: dankzij jou kunnen onze militairen, waar ook ter wereld en onder alle omstandigheden, rekenen op een veilige en stabiele infrastructuur.

De focus van deze opdracht ligt op het TITAAN-netwerk (Theatre Independent Tactical Army and Air Force Network). Je bent verantwoordelijk voor:

• Het voorbereiden, uitvoeren en beoordelen van integratie-, systeem-, regressie- en securitytests voor zowel tussenproducten als volledige releases.
• Het intensief inzetten van Jira en Xray voor het beheer van testcases, testuitvoering en een strakke bug-opvolging.
• Het grondig valideren van Reguliere (RSU) en Ad-hoc Security Updates (ASU), inclusief het verifiëren van fixes en het uitvoeren van regressietesten.
• Het testen over diverse technische domeinen: van Microsoft-omgevingen en netwerken tot middleware, telefonie en PKI.
• Het inrichten van complexe testomgevingen, zodat het team altijd op een betrouwbare en stabiele basis kan werken.

HGI ontwikkelt Command & Control-systemen (C2) en de bijbehorende infrastructuur voor missies in het veld. Het is een uitdagende "verbouwing met de winkel open". Ons motto is 'Lekker Werken - Steeds Slimmer - De Juiste Dingen doen'. We willen onze teams optimaal faciliteren, zodat jij je kunt focussen op kwaliteit en voorspelbaarheid.

Wat we van jou verwachten

• Je bent een ervaren Test Specialist (minimaal 4 jaar relevante werkervaring in een vergelijkbare rol).
• Je bent bekend met de standaarden uit het European e-Competence Framework (e-CF) op het gebied van systeembouw.
• Ervaring binnen Defensie is een grote pré, net als specifieke ervaring met het TITAAN-netwerk.
• Je bent in staat om testplannen (white- en blackbox) zelfstandig op te zetten, resultaten helder te rapporteren en effectieve testtools te ontwikkelen.

Praktische informatie

• Duur: 1 december 2026 tot 30 november 2027 (met optie op verlenging).
• Hybride werken: Er is ruimte om gemiddeld twee dagen per week thuis te werken, in goed overleg met je leidinggevende.
• ZZP: Helaas is ZZP niet toegestaan voor deze functie.

Working conditions: This job role offers a balanced split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a distribution of 75% operational and 25% project-related tasks. To minimize the impact on business operations, some changes may be scheduled outside of regular business hours.
