Korte omschrijving

As a Test Manager for this program, you'll be in charge of creating and implementing the test strategy within the MORSE workflow

Functie omschrijving

MORSE is a really important program for us, a high priority initiative with strategic significance. The Reporting & Data Management (RDM) workstream is key here, as it handles the downstream processing of all the mortgage data that Stater provides to ING through the DDS2 file. This file is delivered daily and really kicks off the data journey, moving through Data Management to reach all the downstream users who rely on mortgage data.

On top of that, within RDM, we also manage several direct connections to other systems. The data that goes to these main users then makes its way to many other subsequent users and data marts, so it's a crucial flow.

As a Test Manager for this program, you'll be in charge of creating and implementing the test strategy within the MORSE workflow. It's a vital role where you'll bring together business and technical teams, build support, and foster an effective testing organization. You'll guide both the development and business teams as they figure out the best test approaches, define acceptance criteria, and prepare test sets. You'll report to the Program Manager and will coordinate all the testing activities to make sure everything runs smoothly and on time. You'll also be actively involved in managing defects, taking a hands-on approach. For this, you'll report to the Work Stream Lead RDM.

Here's a breakdown of what you'll be doing:

  • Define and own the overall test approach, covering data migration, data consistency, and downstream impact.
  • Translate this approach into a clear test plan, detailing the scope, phases, entry/exit criteria, and who owns what.
  • Coordinate the execution across different squads, workstreams, and any external parties involved.
  • Manage dependencies and ensure the right sequencing across various systems and data layers.
  • Keep a close eye on progress, issues, and any delays, and be ready to replan as needed.
  • Ensure we have clear and realistic acceptance criteria (Definition of Done), working closely with Finance and Risk stakeholders to get their alignment.
  • Drive decision-making, have critical discussions about the scope, and escalate when progress is at risk.
  • Lead the entire testing stream, establishing structure, pace, and accountability.
  • Be ready to roll up your sleeves and take ownership of operational tasks when necessary, such as defect tracking, managing findings, follow-ups, and reporting.
  • Make sure responsibilities are crystal clear across all teams and systems within this complex landscape.
  • Since the program is already underway, you'll need to pragmatically, yet decisively, adjust and improve the activities and responsibilities mentioned above. There isn't time to build a completely new setup from scratch.

Contract Details:

  • Duration: July 27, 2026 - July 26, 2027, with the possibility of extension.
  • Location: Amsterdam
  • Employment Type: Independent contractor (ZZP) is not permitted.
  • Proposal Deadline: June 21, 2026, by 10:00 AM.
