As a UX Researcher focused on Enterprise UX, you'll have the amazing opportunity to make a real, measurable difference in the daily work lives of 49,000 Rabobank employees across the globe! You'll be leading research – exploring new ideas, generating insights, and evaluating existing experiences – all to guide design and strategic decisions. It's all about showing the tangible value of great user experience by making it quantifiable, mentoring designers, boosting research quality, and ensuring those valuable insights actually lead to positive business outcomes.

You and Your Role

You'll be instrumental in shaping Rabobank’s design transformation by truly understanding what matters most to employees and then turning those discoveries into actionable strategies. Imagine leading studies on global login experiences or diving deep into what motivates our engineers – you'll make the employee experience visible, measurable, and truly impactful.

You'll collaborate closely with designers and design leads within our HR, Tech, and Financial Economic Crime departments, navigating a dynamic stakeholder and IT environment. Your role involves aligning research questions with hypotheses, business priorities, and clear, measurable goals. You'll be a storyteller, using high-quality research to influence decisions across the entire organization.

  • Connect user insights directly to design and business objectives, making the impact visible and quantifiable.
  • Pinpoint the right problems to solve and validate solutions that encourage the desired user behavior.
  • Partner with designers, all while elevating the overall quality of UX research.

Practical Examples

  • Advise leadership on areas where user understanding might be lacking and propose/lead research to inform their decisions.
  • Plan and execute studies using various methods, delivering insights that shape future product roadmaps.
  • Host weekly UX research office hours to provide support and guidance to designers and product teams.

Assignment Details:

  • Duration: August 3, 2026 - December 18, 2026, with the possibility of extension.
  • Location: Netherlands (candidates must reside in the Netherlands).
  • Hours: 36 hours per week.
  • Employment Type: Self-employed is not permitted.
  • Office Presence: Team collaboration happens in the office on Wednesday mornings. Tuesdays and Thursdays are also preferred days for office work.

Functie Eisen

When it comes to languages, we're looking for someone who is:

  • Fluent in Dutch, comfortable enough to lead interviews and really understand what people are saying.
  • Proficient in English for everyday teamwork and sharing your findings.
  • Able to jump smoothly between Dutch and English, whether you're chatting or writing.

And here's what you'll bring to the table:

  • At least 3 years of UX research experience, especially in places with lots of moving parts.
  • A knack for using all sorts of research tools, like interviews, analytics, diary studies, eye-tracking, field research, and usability testing.
  • Solid experience with both qualitative (think interviews, diary studies, field research, usability testing) and quantitative (surveys, analytics, metrics) research.
  • The skill to work effectively within large companies and get people on board with your research ideas.
  • Great at telling stories with data, showing how your insights make a real difference for the business.
  • A practical approach and a passion for always finding ways to do things even better.

Working conditions: This job role offers a balanced split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a distribution of 75% operational and 25% project-related tasks. To minimize the impact on business operations, some changes may be scheduled outside of regular business hours.
