Business Architect Data & Analytics
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Architect Data & Analytics. You will take up the role of Area Architect for the Area Enterprise Data Products within Tribe D&A Products & Transformation. You will be responsible for the target architecture on area level that supports the product vision.
The Area Enterprise Data Products realizes key data products. These data products are used by multiple consumers across different business domains to reduce the time to market, improve cost efficiency, and increase the quality of business solutions. We apply product thinking to ensure that every data product design begins with the data consumer(s) value in mind. The portfolio of the area includes the Client Data Foundation, which provides many (historical) viewpoints and properties of our customers. Another example is the Customer Liquid Asset Position, which collects the end of day balances for all products (liquid assets) within Rabobank. A key challenge in this role is to drive the future direction of our enterprise data products portfolio, aligning this with business needs while ensuring ease-of-use and scalability.
As Area Architect, you manage the area together with the Area Lead and Tech Lead. You will work closely with the solution architects within the area, aligning the area vision, realizing the architecture strategy & roadmaps, and contributing to our purpose. You guide the teams towards the best results in a future-proof architecture, keep each other on our toes, and help each other where possible.
You need to have the courage to challenge and develop yourself even when you and your team make a mistake. The important part is that you (and your team) learn from that and grow. With your experience, insights, and skills, you will provide a great contribution to our business users, enabling them to unlock value from data faster and better.
Top Selection Criteria:
- Minimum 7 years working experience in relevant roles, with at least 3 years of architecture experience in a complex data & analytics environment.
- You have experience with the concept of data as a product.
- You are comfortable in a leading role and can provide coaching and guidance to a team of Solution Architects.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to communicate technical solutions in business terms and influence and persuade others with an open mindset.
- Practical experience with architecture methods and techniques.
- You have a helicopter view: overseeing a wide domain and any consequences certain (design) decisions have on both business and IT.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with business & IT leaders and colleague architects.
- Language: English mandatory, Dutch is a plus.
Your Position in the Architecture Department
The architecture department, with over 100 members, develops, maintains, and enforces Rabobank's IT strategy and architecture to support the bank's long-term goals in commercial, efficiency, and risk areas. We work as one effective team, believing in the power of diversity to make us a better bank. We are eager to see what you can bring to our team. You will be part of the 10-member D&A-architecture team, which sets the architecture direction for the Data & Analytics Products & Transformation and Global Data & Analytics Platform Tribes. We collaborate closely with Solution Architects from Tech4D&A, believing that architecture should be team-owned.
Practical Examples of Activities:
- Develop an information architecture for bank-wide client data with your team, business and IT stakeholders, and suppliers.
- Create and communicate an architecture vision on data products for unstructured data, aligning with business stakeholders, architects, and the Chapter Global Data Management.
