Informatica Platform Engineer – Customer Data

Spoed

Job description

Join Us as a Senior Platform Engineer at Rabobank

At Rabobank, we are on the lookout for a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and run the Informatica IDMC platform. This platform is crucial for our initiatives on Customer 360, MDM, Salesforce integration, event streaming, and analytical/ML workloads.

In the coming years, we will be building a new MDM platform for Customer Data using Informatica MDM (IDMC), a SaaS solution that we will connect to our data consumers within the bank. This will also support our CRM Modernization program, migrating our current Siebel environment to Salesforce, another SaaS solution.

You’ll take ownership of the Informatica IDMC platform and the shared infrastructure/services that empower Data Engineers, Data Scientists, DQ, and DevOps teams to deliver reliably—securely and at scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain the customer data platform architecture (Informatica IDMC, Event Hub/Kafka, APIM/microservices, Databricks).
  • Implement platform automation and Infrastructure as Code for consistent, repeatable environment provisioning (dev/test/acc/prod).
  • Ensure privacy by design and security by design, including encryption, Key Vault policies, network isolation, RBAC/ABAC, and secrets/identity management in compliance with GDPR/PII requirements.
  • Provide and operate shared platform services: schema registry, feature store infrastructure, metadata & lineage (Collibra), orchestrators, DQ runtimes, job scheduling/service bus.
  • Embed SRE practices—define SLIs/SLOs/SLAs, implement observability (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Grafana/Prometheus, Splunk), and drive fast incident response/RCA.
  • Optimize performance, reliability, and cost through cluster sizing & autoscaling, storage tiering, Event Hub throughput, API/streaming tuning, and scheduling.
  • Establish platform standards, guardrails, reusable IaC modules, runbooks, and onboarding guides for Data Product teams.
  • Collaborate with Architects to design a robust and sustainable data architecture for the Customer Data Area.
  • Train DevOps and platform engineers through continuous knowledge sharing, lead workshops, and set up training for various roles within the area.
