The IT Applications Developer is responsible for the development, delivery, and performance assurance of applications/software solutions. This role involves close collaboration with ASML business stakeholders, incorporating user-defined needs and feedback to improve application design and/or optimize performance. You’ll generate ideas for innovation and convey the IT art-of-the-possible to the ASML business, inspiring and realizing capability step-ups.

This position will require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Write and maintain reliable code.
• Create/Modify backend/CLI applications.
• Identify and fix bottlenecks and bugs in code on a regular basis.
• Write tests and set up end-to-end testing frameworks.
• Prepare the release plan and deploy the applications in different environments (Test, Acceptance, and Production).
• Refine features/user stories together with other developers in the team to ensure the requirements are clear before planning a sprint.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Speak up when you see a problem/anomaly and be part of improving the situation.
• Support the architect in design specifications.

Working conditions: This job role offers a balanced split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a distribution of 75% operational and 25% project-related tasks. To minimize the impact on business operations, some changes may be scheduled outside of regular business hours.
