As part of the Capital Markets Investment RI (CMI-RI) Team, you'll be responsible for providing RI data products for the Capital Markets area. These data products play a crucial role in producing ESG information products, which form the basis of APG AM’s sustainability criteria for investment decision-making. We strive for flexible and high-performing agile teams, composed of members with T-shaped skills. Your work location will be Amsterdam or Heerlen, with occasional visits to the other office.

Your Responsibilities

We're seeking a QA/Test Data Engineer who can manage all assigned test tasks and ensure product quality assurance and agreed requirements are met. Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Write and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test scripts, progress reports, and test completion reports.
  • Report and track defects through to completion.
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge for all systems allocated for project testing.
  • Communicate effectively with DevOps teams and stakeholders, providing reporting and updates on progress and any issues raised.
  • Support the team in defining and implementing testing metrics for test monitoring and control.

This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) and falls within salary scale 10. The first CV selection will take place on Monday, January 19.

Requirements

Your Qualifications

You bring:

  • Excellent knowledge of testing methodologies and techniques for data-centric platforms, data integration pipelines, API solutions, and web/desktop applications.
  • A Bachelor's or Master’s degree.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong experience in data testing, including validation of data ingestion, transformation, normalization, and end-to-end data quality checks.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL for complex data validation queries; experience with PySpark is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks for data validation, notebook-based testing, and pipeline troubleshooting.
  • Experience with code repositories and CI/CD solutions such as Git and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience setting up or integrating CI/CD pipelines in a corporate environment would be an advantage.

Additional Information

  • Qualification/Licensure:
  • Preferred years of experience: 5 years
  • Travel required: 25% to 50%
  • Shift timings: Please note that freelancers (ZZP) are eligible for this role; clearly specify the type of contract.
  • During the onboarding period, the candidate is expected to work fully onsite. After this period, you'll be expected to be in the office two days per week.
  • You may choose your primary location, but travel to the other location once a month is required.
