The FEC Tech Sanction Detection and Name Screening department is responsible for maintaining and building the new applications aimed at Sanction screening or Name Screening. We are working on innovative IT solutions that ensure that Rabobank meets the requirements for Sanction screening. In the past year(s), attention to this area has increased considerably and the requirements from DNB have been structurally increased. To meet these requirements, we work together in high performing squads that connect IT solutions with all recent compliance requirements.

You and your job: As a Sr Risk Shield Developer your job is to ensure that the IT systems and models are being build and tested in line with the IT and model risk standards and procedures. Ensuring that the design choices can be linked to Rabobank policies and procedures and are substantiated with clear and concise test results. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining the end-to-end Global Name Screening models.

Practical Examples
- Experience in Risk Shield Server and Risk shield Client.
- Experience in Rule Building with good understanding of data flows, decision systems and Name Screening algorithms.
- Experience with fuzzy-matching algorithms including Jaro-Winkler, Levenshtein Distance, Triagram indexing.
- Designing and performing qualitative and quantitative tests to ensure the model operates as expected.
- Determining adjustments that lead to efficiency and/or effectiveness gains.
- Documenting all design decisions, test approaches, results and subsequent conclusions in such a way that it can be understood by an educated uninformed 3rd party and withstand regulatory scrutiny.
- Be the central point of contact for all model related questions from model validators, developers, and model users.
- You are able to simplify solutions and processes and tell the story clearly to various international stakeholders;
- Experience and affinity with data analysis, data mapping and conceptualizing and creating solutions for data quality improvements;
- You give and ask for constructive feedback;
- A proactive, can-do, no surprises and positive mind-set;
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate your views to others.

Name Screening – Sr Risk Shield Developer

Functie eisen

- Academic working and intellectual level (BSc or MSc degree, e.g. Computer Science).
- A broad experience with the IT-landscape in the financial sector. Preferable experienced on Compliance topics.
- At least 3 years of experience in similar role.
- Ability to understand Risk Shield architecture.
- Strong affinity to data and able to perform data quality assessments, data lineage, privacy assessments and provide recommendations.
- Practical experience with model testing methods and techniques.
- Relevant experience with Agile, Scrum, Lean, DevOps, SAFe in the ICT sector and financial services.
- You have a helicopter view: overseeing a wide domain and any consequences certain (design) decisions have
- On the other hand you are not afraid to ‘get your hands dirty’ and become involved in complex analysis and implementation questions
- Good communicator: ability to talk to senior management, business experts as well as developers and other team members
- Excellent writing skills; you are able to document your approach, test results and conclusions with substantiating arguments and evidence so it can withstand compliance, audit or other 3rd party scrutiny.
- You have a pro-active mind-set and you take ownership
- Fluent in English language

- Good grasp of enterprise architecture landscapes and how our solution would play its role in that environment;
- Pro-active;
- Critical thinking;
- Ability to structure and organise your own work. Being able to handle a lot of projects at the same time;
- Functional writing and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with the Risk Shield based screening solutions is a must have.

Working conditions This job role is split between operational (run) and project (build) work (75%/25%). Some changes are planned outside business hours to minimize business impact. This job vacancy is for the location Utrecht (NL).
