About Pay & Receive on Time
Within the Tribe Payments, we focus primarily on customer journeys for payment initiation and receiving transaction information. We provide this data for Rabobank's internet and mobile banking platforms, as well as to third parties via Open Banking.
Additionally, we also have squads dedicated to Payments Investigation, Banking Employee services, and Direct Debit Products.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Scrum Master, you will work closely with two squads to:
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies
- Coach and mentor on Agile practices
- Remove any impediments that hinder the squads' progress
- Ensure effective communication and continuous improvement
- Motivate and empower the team
You will be an integral part of our Pay and Receive on Time Area, supporting its growth by participating in and supporting various Area rituals and collaborating closely with the Area leadership.
Practical Examples of Your Work
- Facilitate Squad and Area Scrum rituals, including planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Organize team-building activities to uplift team energy levels.
- Support the Product Owners in maintaining healthy product backlogs. Collaborate with the Product Owners and DevOps teams on planning and the roadmap of activities.
- Facilitate cross-team alignment to ensure successful product delivery.
- Support the Area Leadership team on transformation topics that may extend beyond your assigned squads, allowing you to operate on a larger scale.

Position: Scrum Master
Duration: 19-07-2025 - 31-05-2026 with the option to extend.
Language Requirement: You must master both English and Dutch.
Location: Utrecht.
Contract Type: ZZP not allowed.

Checklist for Candidates
In addition, it's important that you recognize everything in the checklist below:
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master / Agile Coach
- At least an advanced Scrum Master certificate like PSM2 (Scrum.org) or Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (ScrumAlliance.org).
- Experience with LeSS or the Spotify Scrum at Scale model will help us improve on scaling Agile in our area.
- Experience in coaching teams working across multiple locations.
- Must be working and living in the Netherlands.
- You have experience with coaching multi-cultural teams
- You master the English and Dutch language.

Working Conditions
This job role is split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a 75%/25% distribution. Some changes are planned outside business hours to minimize impact on the business. This job vacancy is for the location Utrecht (NL).
