Solution Architect IAM

Spoed

Job description

Create the Future Architecture of IAM for Rabobank

Join a small team of dedicated solution architects as we work towards our ambitious and advanced IAM 2026 targets at Rabobank.

You & Your Position

There are only a few places in the Netherlands where you can work in a large-scale IAM environment, characterized by high complexity and the latest, advanced IAM tools and technologies … and this is one of them!

IAM at Rabobank ensures that employees have proper and secure access. We strive to prevent both conscious and unconscious risks or fraud and ensure compliance with laws and regulations. IAM serves as the front door for employees to gain access, playing a key role in securing Rabobank’s infrastructure, applications, and data.

Rabobank has a state-of-the-art IAM platform leveraging best-of-breed technologies. By utilizing existing capabilities and introducing innovative applications like PBAC (Policy Based Access Control), we aim to reach new milestones for IAM: seamless and invisible for end-users, fully Cloud supported, and plug & play for our IT colleagues.

As part of the IAM architecture team, your primary responsibility will be to translate our IAM vision into actionable architecture and specifications. Interaction with key stakeholders will be essential to achieving the best results. Your team will consist of 3-5 Solution Architects, responsible for the full architecture lifecycle, from new ideas into clear specifications and principles ready for detailed design.

We expect you to have a solid overview and understanding of IAM solution capabilities, ensuring alignment of needs and requirements with the standards and capabilities of our tools.

Continuous improvement is second nature to you, and you are not afraid to challenge the current working methods and tooling. You are a go-getter who thrives in a team environment, committed to delivering high-quality products and everything that comes with that, making you a versatile member of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Translate high-level targets into architecture, (security) designs, and a blueprint for solutions, ensuring alignment with Product Owners, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Leverage your experience in design patterns, published reference architectures, and insights from Business Architects and other internal stakeholders, such as the Security Operations Center and First Line Risk Management.
  • Develop or enhance architecture and design artifacts, including solution architecture documents and technical requirements design documents for each of the individual IAM components, diagrams, and technical presentations.
  • Enable and maximize Cloud usage in all solutions.
  • Explore and work on new topics such as PBAC, advanced IAM analytics, and more.

Additionally, you will serve as a sparring partner for the business, the development team, product owner, and other stakeholders. Staying updated on the latest market and technological developments will be crucial as you incorporate these insights into your architectural designs. You will also play a vital role in monitoring and ensuring the quality of the DevOps team's work, acting as an expert in IAM capabilities and security control discussions.

Duration and Location

Duration: 30-06-2025 - 31 May 2026, with an option for extension.

Location: Utrecht (not specified)
