Create the Future Architecture of IAM for Rabobank

Join a small team of dedicated solution architects to meet our ambitious and advanced IAM 2026-and-beyond targets at Rabobank!

You & Your Position

There are only a few places in the Netherlands where you can work in a large-scale IAM environment, characterized by high complexity while utilizing the latest, advanced IAM tools and technologies—and this is one of them!

IAM at Rabobank ensures that employees have proper and secure access. We actively prevent both conscious and unconscious risks or fraud, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. IAM serves as the front door from which employees gain access, playing a key role in securing Rabobank’s infrastructure, applications, and data.

Rabobank features a state-of-the-art IAM platform using best-of-breed technologies. By leveraging these existing capabilities and integrating innovative, new applications such as PBAC (Policy Based Access Control), we aim to achieve new milestones for IAM that are seamless and invisible for end users, fully Cloud-supported, and plug-and-play for our IT colleagues.

As part of the IAM architecture team, your key responsibility is to translate our IAM vision into concrete architecture and specifications, interacting with key stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcomes. The team you will be part of consists of 3-5 Solution Architects, all dedicated to managing the full architecture lifecycle, from new ideas to clear specifications and principles ready for detailed design.

We expect you to have a good, generic overview and understanding of the capabilities of IAM solutions, allowing you to match needs and requirements with the standards and capabilities of the tools we work with.

Continuous improvement should be second nature to you, and you are not afraid to critically assess current working methods and tools. You are a go-getter who thrives in a team environment, committed to delivering high-quality products and everything that comes with them. This makes you a versatile member of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Translate high-level targets into architecture, (security) designs, and a blueprint for solutions, aligning with Product Owners, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders.

  • Leverage your experience in design patterns, published reference architectures, and guidance from Business Architects and other (internal) stakeholders like the Security Operations Centre and First Line Risk Management.

  • Generate or enhance Architecture and Design artifacts such as solution architecture documents and technical requirements design documents for each of the individual IAM components, along with diagrams and technical presentations.

  • Enable/maximize Cloud usage.

  • Work on new topics such as PBAC, advanced IAM analytics, and more.

Besides that, you will act as a sparring partner for business, the development team, Product Owner, and other stakeholders. Staying abreast of the latest market and technological developments, you will incorporate these insights into your architectural designs. You will also play a key role in monitoring and ensuring the quality of the work delivered by the DevOps team, acting as an expert in IAM capabilities and discussions around security controls.
