The TS NL Datacenter Floor Management Team

The TS NL Datacenter Floor Management team is overall responsible for the T-Systems datacenter infrastructure in the Netherlands. Their main task is to keep the datacenters running efficiently, securely, and safely. The team consists of 8 FTE (including the Datacenter Manager) working daily at datacenter locations in Oude Meer, Aalsmeer, Almere, Rotterdam, and Amsterdam, as well as supporting SOA People and Open Telekom Cloud (OTC).

Team Responsibilities

The Floor Management team ensures the optimal set-up of the datacenter rooms and the best utilization of floor space and power consumption. They act as the main focal point for all activities in the datacenter for external contacts and handle datacenter access, cabling, capacity planning, and tape handling.

Tasks

  • Manage floor and rack plans
  • Manage installation and removal of both equipment and cabling
  • Enforce strict access policies
  • Manage the import and export of goods in the datacenter
  • Maintain a safe and clean datacenter
  • Guide or coach non-floor management staff to adhere to datacenter rules
  • Inform stakeholders about datacenter maintenance and incidents
  • Manage the functional mailbox and request overview

  • Detavast is preferred
  • 6-month contract with option to extend or convert to permanent

  • Willing to run on-call/standby services

Working conditions: This job role offers a balanced split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a distribution of 75% operational and 25% project-related tasks. To minimize the impact on business operations, some changes may be scheduled outside of regular business hours.
