Your Role
As an Azure Platform Engineer in the Global Analytics Platform area, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping and maintaining a cutting-edge analytics platform. Your work will make data accessible, actionable, and impactful for stakeholders across the organization. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Design: Architect scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions using Azure Databricks and other Azure services.
- Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders to understand their goals and translate them into innovative, practical technical solutions.
- Integration: Ensure seamless data integration across systems and optimize workflows for performance and efficiency.
- Automation: Develop and maintain Terraform scripts to automate deployments and manage infrastructure.
- Performance Excellence: Monitor and tune databases and data pipelines for optimal performance and resource utilization.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of industry trends and Azure technologies, continuously enhancing the platform’s capabilities.

Functie eisen
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 3-5 years in a Platform Engineer or similar role, focusing on large-scale analytics platforms.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Azure Databricks and data architecture, with Python experience as a bonus.
- Skills: Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred).
- Knowledge: Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for deploying and managing data services.
- Mindset: A proactive learner with excellent problem-solving skills and a team-first attitude.
- Certifications: Microsoft Azure certifications or equivalent.

Working Conditions
This job role is split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a 75%/25% distribution. Some changes are planned outside business hours to minimize impact on the business. This job vacancy is for the location Utrecht (NL).
