Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Scrum Master to join our Analytics Platform development teams. In this role, you will facilitate the Agile development process and ensure our teams deliver a high-quality platform for model development across Rabobank. You will play a crucial role in fostering a collaborative and productive environment, guiding our teams through Scrum ceremonies, and helping to remove any impediments that may arise. A data-driven approach to Scrum is essential, as is the ability to formulate a clear vision and roadmap for Agile maturity and guide the team towards achieving these milestones.

Key Responsibilities

Facilitation of Scrum Events

  • Lead all Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Ensure that meetings are productive and stay focused on objectives.

Team Support and Development

  • Foster a collaborative team environment that promotes mutual support and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and articulate a vision/roadmap for achieving Agile maturity within the team and execute the roadmap effectively, tracking progress and making adjustments as necessary.
  • Guide and mentor team members on Agile best practices and personal development.
  • Support the Product Owner in maintaining a clear and prioritized product backlog.
  • Bridge cultural differences to create cohesive teams that thrive in a dynamic environment.

Impediment Removal and Continuous Improvement

  • Use data to identify areas for improvement and implement actionable solutions.
  • Promote a data-driven approach to Scrum, ensuring that decisions are backed by metrics and analytics.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Identify and help remove impediments that block the team’s progress.
  • Facilitate problem-solving and conflict resolution within the team.

Leadership Collaboration

  • Act as a sparring partner for the leadership team providing insights and feedback to help shape strategic decisions to enhance the maturity and agility of our organization.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership to align the teams with organizational objectives.

Functie eisen

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: University-level education with a Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in an IT related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of proven experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile development environment, preferably with cloud platform teams.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM-I) or equivalent.
  • Agile Facilitation: Hands-on experience in facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching teams on Agile principles, preferably in a hybrid setting.
  • Scaled Agile Understanding: Strong understanding of Scaled Agile methodologies and preferably experience in SAFE/LeSS/Spotify Model.
  • Project Management Tools: Experience with Agile project management tools such as Azure DevOps.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, facilitation, problem solving and interpersonal skills are part of your nature.
  • Personality Traits: Emphatic and people oriented personality with a proactive approach to matters.
  • Relationship Building: Skilled in fostering strong relationships with team members and stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds, demonstrating essential cultural sensitivity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the financial industry or a similarly regulated environment.
  • Preferably, you have prior experience working as a developer or business analyst in previous functions.

Working Conditions

This job role is split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a 75%/25% distribution. Some changes are planned outside business hours to minimize impact on the business. This job vacancy is for the location Utrecht (NL).
