Your Role as a Scrum Master

As a Scrum Master, you're key in delivering results by ensuring that nothing disrupts the team's delivery. You know how to balance coaching and guiding your team effectively. Initially, you'll be the one to remove impediments, while also empowering the team to tackle these challenges on their own in the future.

Who We're Looking For

We seek an experienced Scrum Master capable of structuring multidisciplinary squads and solving impediments, using flexible styles to achieve ambitious goals. You'll interact with other Scrum Masters to manage the area's workload, keep an eye on dependencies, and clearly communicate with Product Owners and other business stakeholders.

You stand your ground and possess a vision for improvement, showing flexibility in your approaches to reach goals. You utilize rational arguments to express your opinions, fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect. This mindset leads to clear objectives and highly motivated team members.

Being self-aware and understanding your strengths and weaknesses will enable you to be effective or seek necessary support when needed.

Some Practical Examples

• Active participation in achieving the department’s objectives.
• Collaborating with fellow Scrum Masters to ensure a clear and concise Scrum strategy within the department.
• Proficiently using Azure DevOps as an enabler to enhance squad professionalism and reduce administrative workload.

You and Your Talent

• A bachelor's degree or higher
• Experience as a Scrum Master in an IT or software development setting (3+ years)
• A passion for making teams better!
• Certified Scrum Master (PSM II) and/or other certifications preferred
• Familiar with Agile scaling models, such as SAFe and Nexus or comparable
• Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Continuous Deployment
• Intervening behavior in bottlenecks and conflicts

Working Conditions

This job role is split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a 75%/25% distribution. Some changes are planned outside business hours to minimize impact on the business. This job vacancy is for the location Utrecht (NL).
