Are you the designer with a passion for creating impactful customer experiences and a love for solving complex problems? Is it you who bridges the worlds of design and business?

Your Role

As a Designer, you, together with your team, will play a crucial role in shaping journeys that support our Retail NL customers in their financial decisions. With themes ranging from turning 18, to living together and bereavement, and from onboarding new private and business banking customers to financial independence, the scope is broad. One thing stands out, though; we help ensure our customers are supported in all life events, from orientation to aftercare.

Your Drive

You understand complex challenges and know how to convince and manage your senior level stakeholders. You are a strong collaborator, a structured strategic thinker, and a creator of pixel-perfect designs. You champion design and the value it can add to the organization and thus help advance the discipline. You explore and develop innovative ideas that give direction to our products and services. You bring out the best in your teammates by role modeling. Throughout this process, the overall journey is your starting point. The business and the end-user play a central role, and you continuously validate your work by looking through their eyes. You keep up to speed with developments and challenges within the financial sector and design, and you like to investigate new technologies.

You will become part of the Design Chapter that serves the entire organization. Our way of working is collaborative. Once you join as a designer, we’ll be a team of around 100 designers with a wide variety of skills and knowledge. Bringing together people's differences is what makes us an even better bank. You and Your Talent

You bring extensive design expertise with a focus on UX-UI design, backed by a minimum of 5-8 years in the industry.

You confidently take responsibility and ownership of large, complex design projects, skillfully translating complex problems into simple and intuitive solutions.

You easily navigate stakeholder relationships on a strategic level while working on pixel-perfect designs for the future.

You conveniently maneuver through large organizations and understand how to garner support for your ideas and concepts.

You have know-how of design tools like Figma, along with a strong background in ideation, journey mapping, and design research methods.

You possess knowledge of both the Dutch and English languages in both speech and writing.

Our client is a financial service provider for 7.1 million customers in 40 countries, you know already. Our Red Team works for all the locations of our client in all these countries. Working conditions: This job role offers a balanced split between operational (run) and project (build) work, with a distribution of 75% operational and 25% project-related tasks. To minimize the impact on business operations, some changes may be scheduled outside of regular business hours.
